Our Services

How We Work At our salon, every groom begins with a comprehensive pre-health check, followed by ear cleaning, nail trimming, hygiene area and paw pad trimming, as well as thorough brushing and combing before any styling takes place. From bath to grooming prep, the process takes a minimum of one hour. Styling can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours, depending on the complexity of the groom and your pet’s individual needs. Please be patient — if you’re looking for “fast and furious,” this may not be the salon for you. We believe in calm, careful grooming that prioritises your dog’s well-being and comfort. Our team is fully trained and insured, and we use only industry-approved equipment and products to ensure the highest standards of care. We proudly use shampoos, which contain: No alcohol, parabens, soap, dyes, optical brighteners, or bleaches They are wheat-free, pH-balanced, and 100% vegan For de-shedding treatments, we may use a different range of shampoos tailored to coat type. Please speak with a member of our team if you would like to know more about the ingredients used in these products. All customers must be registered with us and agree to our Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

Exceptional Service

Cliona Tynan

I have been bringing my older dog to House of Hounds for a number of years. They provide an exceptional service from the booking right through to the grooming. Mary and all the staff there are really professional and have great awareness of your dogs needs. We recently got a new puppy too, and he had his first introduction to grooming and got on great. The staff are so kind, caring and passionate about their work. I would highly recommend bringing your dog here.

Don't Know How They Do it

Philip Brindley

They do an amazing job! Don’t know how they do it. But every time I get Noodles back from them, she seems so much softer and smoother. I groom and bathe her regularly, but don’t even come close. On top of that, she is always happy to get in when we go.

Appointment times are not flexible. Arriving more than 10 minutes late may result in cancellation, and you may be charged the full appointment cost.
Repeated lateness for drop-off or collection disrupts staff schedules and affects other clients. Repeated incidents may result in refusal of future bookings.
Dogs must be collected within 15 minutes of the advised collection time. A holding fee of €5 per 15 minutes will apply. We do not offer a minding service.

Before the Groom

Please ensure your dog has had a walk and toileted before arriving.
It is your responsibility to inform us of any medical or behavioural conditions (e.g., arthritis, obesity, heart disease, infections).
If your dog has recently been unwell, written vet clearance is required. Failure to provide this will result in cancellation and a charge of 100% of the groom cost.
You must keep us informed of any changes in your dog’s health, behaviour, or circumstances that could impact their grooming.

A consultation will take place before each groom to discuss your preferences.
While we aim to meet your requests, some styles may not be possible due to coat's condition.
